Some exhibited achievements
at the Garden of Valombreuse

since the opening of JUNE 19, 2020.

"Flamboyant"
acrylic painting on canvas 100 x 70 cm
(Private collection)

"A miracle has arisen that no one could have foreseen:
Exalting the color beyond all measure,
Flowery, the flamboyants rise up in the evening,
Admire the scarlet dripping carpet
Who puts in the moved air its rich blossoming!
Or wouldn't it be like, when a crater bursts,
Like a hot pool of molten lava?"

(Excerpt from "Les flamboyants" by Jean Ricquebourg)

"Look at this tree with its majestic sides
As for, in its royal port, it climbs to the heavens;
We could stand there gazing at its antlers
Nearly an hour for so much it looks great.
It bears its name well, that of Flamboyant,
Its foliage is on fire in its blood-red flowers;
Which painter has his colors at the heart of his palette,
Who can even talk about it, either storyteller or poet? "

( Excerpt from "Flamboyant" by Charly LELLOUCHE)

"Back to Basics"

“Let us be grateful to the people who give ushappiness ;

They are the charming gardeners by whom our soulsare in bloom.”

(Marcel Proust)

When a man is naked,
everything is visible,

When a woman undresses, everything is still hidden,
except his feelings.

"Up There"
Oil painting
on canvas 40 x 79.50 cm
private collection

"You believe that the Earth is entirely yours
For you it's just a carpet of dust
I know that the stone, the bird and the flowers have a life, have a spirit and a heart
For you, the stranger only bears the name of man if he looks like you and thinks your way
But walking in his footsteps you question yourself
Are you sure, deep down, that you're right?
(Wind Air Lyrics / Pocahontas)

"Eden"

Oil painting on canvas 40 cm x 79.5 cm

private collection

“In everything that arouses in us the pure and authentic feeling of beauty, there is really the presence of God.
There is a kind of incarnation of God in the world whose beauty is the mark "

(Simone Weill)

"Kali'na"
(oil on canvas 70 x 100cm) * Private collection *
The Kali'nas (formerly Karibs) are an Amerindian ethnic group found in several countries on the Caribbean coast of South America.
They are of Caribbean language and culture.

“Deep-hearted nature on whom the heavens rest,
No one will have loved so warmly like me
The light of day and the sweetness of things,
The glistening water and the land where life germinated.

The forest, the ponds and the fertile plains
Have touched my eyes more than human gazes,
I leaned on the beauty of the world
And I held the scent of the seasons in my hands. »

(Excerpts from The Offering to Nature by Anna de Noailles)

" The mill "

All these wooden mills,
all these stone mills,
that once turned to the heavens,
like a prayer, under the breath of the winds,
stopped their hearts and wandered round,
on the progress of time...

(Excerpt from Moulins des souvenirs - Dominique Simonet)

Hospitality

Don't be too harsh
with your brothers
They arrive on makeshift boats
somewhere on our earth
don't ask for the moon
just the cottageand the cover
We are all from
from the same father
and we must be accountable
to the same messenger
who reminds us
that we are ephemeral

(Excerpt from the poem "Hospitality" by
Kamal Zerdoumi 2018)

"Overseas Blues"

Nature is all we see,
Everything we want, everything we like.
All we know, all we believe,
Everything that we feel in ourselves.

She is beautiful to whoever sees her,
She is good to those who love her,
She's right when you believe in her
And that we respect it in ourselves.

Look at the sky, it sees you,
Kiss the earth, she loves you.
The truth is what we believe
In nature it is yourself.

"Maracuja"(oil painting on canvas 120 x 40 cm)
Private Collection of the Hotel "Le Relais du Moulin" ****
https://www.relaisdumoulin.com

Its name of passionflower (passio in Latin meaning passion and flor, flower) would have been bequeathed to us by the Jesuit missionaries, who, when they arrived in South America in the 15th century, were struck by the shape and color of this flower.

Canvas exhibited on the occasion of the "Art shop" event until January 19, at 6, quai Layrle, in Pointe-à-Pitre (Guadeloupe)

Virgin flowers,
To your rivals,
roses and lilies,
I prefer you,
When I will do
In the thickets
A crown
which I surround
my blond hair,
Or that I give
At the Madonna
With my wishes.

(Louise Collet)

" Lighter than a cork, I danced on the waves"
(oil painting on canvas 100 x 73 cm / Private collection)

I am standing at the edge of the beach.
A sailboat passes in the morning breeze and heads out to sea.
He is beauty, he is life.
I watch it until it disappears over the horizon.
Someone next to me says, "He's gone!"
Gone to where?
Gone from my gaze, that's all!
Its mast is still just as high, its hull still has the strength to carry its human load.
His total disappearance from my sight is in me, not in him.
And just when someone near mesaid, "He's gone!"
there are others who see it dawning on the horizonand come towards them exclaim with joy:
"Here it is !"

This is death!
There are no deaths.
There are living people on both shores.
Poem by William Blake

"The Road to Rum"

Moorings cast off, My boat is gone!
Head for Pointe-à-Pitre.
Join Karukera, the island of beautiful waters!
His "butterfly", he engraved it on the canvas.
He already savors the Rum and the Coconut punch.
He feels the gentle trade winds.
He hears the waves of shouting and applause...
So it gets light above the ocean,
...because he is the Star!
(Oil painting on canvas 116 x 89cm Private collection of the CMA-CGM Company)

Francis JOYON winner of the Route du Rhum 2018 in 7 days 14 hours 21 minutes and 47 seconds. New record !
Congratulation !

" Somewhere else " (oil painting on canvas 80 x 65 cm)

“The trip is never what you expect.
That the horizon slips away, nothing to say; it is in his very nature to flee.
It's the destination that really makes fun of us.
Our paths always lead us elsewhere. Some will be annoyed by this indocility. The others know, from the depths of their souls, that it is another name for the salt of life. »
(Erik Orsena)

800€ without frame
"Inocence"(Oil painting on canvas 40x40cm

“The little things don't seem like much, but they give peace. It's like the flowers of the fields, you see. They are believed to be without perfume and, all together, they are fragrant. The prayer of little things is innocent. »
" Mangrove" (oil painting on canvas 100x70cm)

"Along the water, I am seized by astonishing sensations:
sometimes curious and impressed to discover the hidden beauties of this luxuriant mangrove,
sometimes plaintive or angry to know the dangers that threaten her with disappearance.
Mangroves are to date, together with wetlands, the environment that has regressed the most in the last two decades".
